A brief history of Camp Staunton Meadows

Camp Staunton Meadows, a co-ed summer camp in Virginia, was founded in 1978 by John I. Crews with the idea of creating a safe, fun environment for campers of all ages. In years prior, this land has been home to a girls camp called the Circle Bar B Ranch Camp, a horse ranch, and a farm. Through the many phases of its life, these woods and meadows have inspired numerous people with its natural beauty. They continue to make a lasting impression on campers and counselors. Over the years CSM has flourished with the care of those who have come to love it, and it will continue to live on in the summers of current campers and memories of those who have left. We are beginning a new era of campers whose parents have ties to this special place...
